All taxes are included in these rates. Gratuities are never expected but always appreciated. The average stay at Earthshine is four nights. Since the longer the stay at Earthshine the more you'll love it, guests staying with us at the regular rate for six nights receive the 7th night for free!

For Weddings, Retreats & Reunions

Book the whole mountaintop for your exclusive use, and we'll shape the whole experience to your liking (meals, activities, spaces, ... everything). The above prices apply with a minimum guarantee of $3,910/night (23 adults fulfill this guarantee) to claim our whole facility. As with family vacations, all activities are included in your rate including a wealth of team-building activities.

There is a $400 wedding surcharge to cover all the little things Earthshine does to help make this day special.

For business groups, there is a $100/night surcharge that provides you with our personal touch to help you organize, use of our AV equipment, meeting spaces and extra snacks during the day.

How to make a reservation

Family Vacations

Give us a call at (828) 862-4207 to discuss availability and details. We ask for a half-payment deposit to hold your accommodations. The balance is due upon departure. You may cancel up to 30 days prior to your reservation date and receive a full refund minus a $25 service charge. We'll follow up your reservation with a confirmation letter and ideas of what to bring.

For exclusive use bookings, we ask for a half-payment deposit and a signed contract within 10 days of making a reservations. Since we reserve dates just for you, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Cancellation within 60 days of outing requires balance due to Earthshine based on minimum guarantee noted on contract.

What type of lodging is available?

Together, the lodge and cottage can house 13 families, 13 couples, 26-39 adults or up to 45 people if it's comprised of some children. Specifically, the lodge has 10 rooms: 8 each have a private bath, 1 double bed & sleeping loft with 2 single beds and private balcony. The 9th and 10th rooms each have a private bath, 1 queen bed and 1 set of bunk beds. The lodge has a dining area, 2 stone fireplaces, a mountain-side deck, a 2nd floor overlooking the mountains and an outside rock patio. Sunrise cottage has 3 suites each with a private bath, 1 queen or double bed, one set of bunk beds, a gas woodstove, private patio and gorgeous mountain views.

Be Sure To Bring:

Kids' clothing that can get wet and dirty (we don't have laundry facilities).
Fishing poles for the catfish pond.
Boots or sturdy shoes for hiking, ropes course and "Flight thru the Treetops".
Safari clothes for Crystal Creek gem mining.
Camera for getting once-in-a-lifetime shots.
Alcoholic beverages you'd like while here -- we have a "brown-bagging" license.
If you play a musical instrument, bring it along and join our staff as they're banjo pickin' and guitar stummin'.
Please leave pets at home. 

Sunrise Cottage Special

Need a home base in the off-season? Certain times of year, we rent Sunrise Cottage suites as "rooms without service" so you can explore the area and eat at local restaurants but always come home to sleep on the mountaintop. None of our activities or meals are available with this special. The charge is $150 (including lodging and tax only) a night. Please call for availability.

During our regular family season, the Sunrise Cottage suites are the same rates as our lodge rooms.
